Girlfriends Ep.5 (10/29)

Girlfriends
Episode 5: Oct. 29

Every so often the situational comedy becomes the "situational tragedy." This episode dealt with the tragic loss of Maya's and Darnell's baby. The last episode ended with Maya stressing out over her latest book and suddenly bleeding on the couch. This episode fast forwards a couple of weeks to how Maya, Darnell, and the rest of the crew are handling the situation.

Amidst plans for Monica's & William's thank you dinner party is the obvious tension between Maya and Darnell who have not yet grieved for the lost of their baby. The tension between them and the sensitivity of the circumstances creates very awkward instances in which the crew just doesn't know what to say or do. Should they visit the couple? Should they postpone the dinner party? Should they mention what happened? No one really knows and they don't want to offend or hurt their friends.

Maya convinces everyone that she's OK and to have the dinner party but shows up without Darnell after a fight during which she accuses him of blaming her for losing the baby. Darnell shows up wanting to talk so they talk it out in front of the whole crew. All Darnell wanted was to talk to someone because he felt alone. Maya wouldn't talk about it and his dad told him to man up (wow). Once they were OK the dinner continued and everything seemed back to normal (well as normal as it could be). At the very end of the show Maya finds a book that Darnell bought for their baby. This leads to his total breakdown and quite the sad end of the show.

I wasn't quite mentally prepared for this episode. I thought Maya was going to learn to take it easy and I was all ready for a good laugh. And Even though Darnell convinces Maya that he doesn't blame her and the doctor said it was nothing they could've done, I can't help but wonder if Maya blames herself. If she does I wonder how this will play out the rest of the season.

ANTM Ep.6 (10/24)

ANTM - cwtv
Episode 6: October 24th

See ya Ebony!
Without question this was one the worst pictures I've ever seen on the show. But Tyra gave her another shot! That's right...Ebony didn't get picked to go home but said "you know what Tyra, this modeling thing just isn't for me." To which Tyra responded, "The most unattractive thing in the world to me is a quitter...so roll out chick!" (well, something like that). I'm no psychologist but if you want to know my take on this I saved it for the end, so check it out.

The Challenge - I Have a Purpose
Tyson Beckford schooled the ladies on being a spokesperson then met them at the "I am African" campaign which supports "Keep a Child Alive" (a response to the AIDS epidemic in Africa). The models were divided in groups of 3 and had 30 minutes to create a 30 second PSA. Ambreal, Jenah, and Heather won. Heather then won a photo shoot with Mary J. Blige because her name got picked out of a bowl. I was impressed with all the groups but I think Bianca's group would've won if she hadn't forgot her lines.

Photo Shoot - Recycle Your Outfit
"As America's Next Top Model, you have to give back." Each model took a high fashion photo representing various recyclable materials.

The Panel - Tyra, Twiggy, Nigel, Tyson, & Ms. J
Who Was Great?

Saleisha (car parts) - The panel agreed this was the best shot of the week. It was "beautiful and high fashion" and she's definitely improving. I really wasn't all that impressed with any of the photo's this week so I can go along with that. She did a good job.

Jenah (cardboard)- The Panel loves her. I think her pose was great but her face wasn't. I know she has potential but I still don't like her. Mr. J says her strong point is her ability to take direction which is a vital attribute to remain successful in the business. Twiggy must be her biggest fan.

Heather (aluminum cans) - She finally got that straight-on shot the panel wanted to see. They called it "brilliant, strong, and confident." Bullsh*t! HATED IT. Her others have been so much better.

Bianca (oil) - She finally learned to "smile with her eyes" just like Tyra told her last week. Tyra said her face was "stunning and alive." Can you hear me groaning? The panel thinks she needs more practice but there's hope for her. I say...don't let that Hood fool you! Her words and actions are strategic...not genuine. She'll never make it. However, her face looked really good in this photo. She should've had on her Beyonce' wig though. Her face kind of looked like her. I give her 2 more weeks tops! Maybe one!

OK
Sarah (garbage bags) - Mr. J thought she was creative and the panel agreed that her photo was "well done." They also feel that by losing weight she's losing her spot in a niche career as a "plus-size" model. I didn't like this photo AT ALL. I thought it was one of her worst. She won't last much longer.

Lisa (plastic bottles) - Lisa provides great poses using those long limbs of hers and really impressed Mr. J. But Tyra said her risks aren't risky enough. The panel actually liked her photo but are beginning to feel she's a little too "stagnant and stuck in a comfort zone." I'm not sure if I agree but I think she can step it up. But what the hell is up with her hair?!

Chantal (newspaper) - Seriously, this was in my personal bottom 3 and I can't imagine that I'm alone on this one. This photo sucked. Tyra said it was a money shot but her film "wasn't the best." I'm ready for her to go home now. Her time is near.

Bottom 2
Ebony (bubble wrap) - This girl done lost her damn mind. Let me break this down. It was never a secret that Ebony couldn't handle the criticism. Tyra even said that it's not modeling that doesn't work for her, it's being told she's not perfect. The Real Deal...Ebony was insecure from the beginning and tried to hide it with false confidence. Somebody, somewhere broke that girl down a long time ago and this was her attempt to prove something to herself and to all those around her. But when faced with the same criticism that she's been battling for years, it just broke her back down. She even said the criticism was "unfair." I can't fault her for having low confidence. I just hope she can get past it one day.

Ambreal (newspaper) - Talk about criticism! The panel said she was boring, inexperienced, forgot about her face, sleepy in the eyes, and Mr. J said there were NO positives about her photo shoot. She was supposed to go home but Ebony saved her. She's outta here. If she hasn't stepped it up yet, she's not going to.

Who got called first?
Saleisha

Covergirl of the Week?
Heather! What is this the 5th week in a row? Way to go!

Who's going home next week?
My bottom 2 predictions:

Sarah - She's not bad, the competition is just about to get tough. She's mediocre and won't make the cut much longer.

Ambreal - Good poses just aren't gonna cut it.
My take on Ambreal is that her dancing experience gives her those great poses but her face just doesn't get it. She simply doesn't know how to give a great face. It's always BLAH.

Girlfriends Ep.4 (10/22)

Girlfriends
Episode 4: Oct. 22

Joan just can't seem to get control of her control issues. She won't stop barging in on her new tenant (Lynn) without ringing the doorbell first. She walks in barking out new rules, and yelling at Lynn about trashcans and vegetable oil stains in the driveway. She then states that she doesn't want "strangers" or Lynn's band members in her home..."a haven of quiet on very peaceful street." She's concerned about what her neighbors will think about her. She doesn't even live there! How does Joan always manage to make everything about her? The nerve of her to tell Lynn her peeps can't come over!

Lynn assures Joan that her neighbors celebrated when she moved and calls her a "messed up control freak with too much time on her hands." Joan tells Lynn she needs to stop slutting around and asks her if she's "really that desperate." After a couple more harsh words the ladies make up and get over it.

Despite Maya's publishing company deciding to cancel book #3, she decides she's going to write a book so damn good they'll be banging her door down as soon as they see it. Realizing she needs to "write a book real quick," she begins stressing and overworking herself. Darnell is concerned about her stress levels and tells her this just isn't the time. Her fibroids require her to stay off her feet during her pregnancy and he doesn't want her under any stress. She doesn't listen and insist on saving her writing career. At the end of the show she begins to bleed...then the scene ends. I hope she's ok.

ANTM Ep.5 (10/17)

ANTM - cwtv
Episode 5: October 17th

See ya Janet!
Clearly I'm not a judge for a reason. After seeing the photo shoot today I thought I knew for sure who was going home...Sarah. Talk about not following direction. That's a major no-no in the modeling word. But I guess Janet had an even bigger no-no...needing too much direction. In person Janet had them all beat. Even though her photos didn't typically move me, I figured it was only a matter of time. I guess not! Nevertheless, I'm thoroughly upset. Once you got down to that bottom 3 the panel chose, Janet's pictures just didn't compete with Sarah and Ambreal (I won't discuss the fact that THEY shouldn't have even been the bottom 3).

The Challenge - Models on Ice
I was scared for these women when Benny Ninja said they were going to pose on the ice IN THE AIR. After practicing on a trampoline (which was downright painful to watch) the ladies got to practice while just standing. Then it was off to the ice where a male skater flipped them over his head as they had to express a specific emotion. Lisa won and no one seemed too happy about it because they thought Ambreal should have won. But Ninja said she overdid it. Lisa won a photo shoot
with Dani for Akademiks in Seventeen Magazine. Dani was the Cycle 6 winner and a judge of the challenge.

Photo Shoot - Super Duper High Fashion Gargoyle
"Sometimes the world of high fashion will take you to new heights and push you to the edge of your limits." The models had to pose as gargoyles in high fashion gear and appear as if they were on the edge of a building.

The Panel - Tyra, Twiggy, Nigel, Benny Ninja, & Ms. J
Who Was Great?

Lisa - Once she stopped over thinking her poses, she ended up taking the best picture of the bunch. Sometimes she appears a bit insecure and she was bothered by her jealous competition who became haters when she won the challenge. Tyra told her not to "dull her shine for somebody else." - I like that.

Saleisha - Tyra said that her bottom two shock from last week was the wake-up call she needed and she was proud of her performance. Compared to last week she definitely looked a lot more confident.

Jenah - The Panel agreed that this was a different side of Jenah and she usually looks soft. I see what they mean but I've been more impressed by her photos in the past. I was NOT impressed by this one. Her body was good but her face sucked. Tyra said she looks raggedy at panel and fantastic in photos. I told ya'll she looks like a hillbilly.

Ebony - Mr. J said she's "dull as dishwater." LOL. Well yes she lacks in the personality department but the panel seems to think that she's growing and this photo was "absolutely stunning." I thought her body was good but the angle of her face looked like a man. At panel she said she doesn't smile because she thinks she has big gums (LOL). She MUST work on her personality and her confidence. These good photos aren't going to save her forever.

Heather - This girl makes a helluva gargoyle! She can come up with the best body poses but the panel is tired of seeing her profile. Tyra said she's in her comfort zone and lacks confidence in "straight-on" photos. She's "stunning" in straight-on poses and needs to get it together. I agree but it doesn't seem to matter what the hell Heather does, her photos are always on point. She just needs that versatility

Chantal - Has anyone else noticed the way she approaches the panel like she's in some kind of pageant with that big ridiculous smile on her face? She tries to display a confidence and a sweetness that I don't think is there. I'm less and less impressed by her every week. Hell I coulda took a picture like that one. The panel thought it was "pretty good."

Bianca - Mr. J thought she "turned the shoot out." The panel thought it was a beautiful photo and one of her best. Well it was definitely one of her best...but that really doesn't take much seeing as how all of her other photos looked like crap. I don't care how many good photos she takes, her jealousy of anyone in the spotlight is her own worst enemy. She's a hater by nature.

Not So Great
Sarah - It was obvious from the photo shoot that she totally bombed. I thought her photo was the worst of the bunch tonight. She was just standing there. There was no gargoyle and the panel felt she totally missed the point and didn't do what she was asked. I like Sarah but she has to think outside the box from now on. I thought this photo was going to send her home.

Ambreal - She just keeps giving them the same face! Her body poses are graceful and beautiful but she totally lacks creativity. Ms. J said she looked like a "fashionable robot." I was disappointed. She looked like a damn gymnast on that trampoline. Without versatility, her time is coming sooner than I thought. I'm not going to put her in my bottom two predictions because I think she's going to step it up next week. We'll see. Her confidence has taken a couple of blows. I hope it doesn't affect her.

Janet - Janet was so worried about her white panties she couldn't relax, let go, and just take the picture . It was agreed that she needs too much direction and can't seem to get the poses right on her own. Based on all her photos alone I think the panel was right on. However, I think other people (Bianca) have been given far too many chances and Janet deserved another chance. She just needed a little more time to grow.

Who got called first?
Lisa

Covergirl of the Week?
Heather! Again

Bottom 2?
Ambreal and Janet. Surprised? Well everyone is waiting to throw a party the day Bianca goes home. Every cycle it never fails...there's ONE person I simply cannot stand who manages to stick around FOREVER. Last season it was that damn Renee. This season I didn't think there was going to be one because I thought Bianca would've been long gone by now. Based on tonights episode alone I'm not surprised by the bottom two. But I never base my decision on one episode.

Who's going home next week?
My bottom 2 predictions:
Sarah - I figured once they got the really bad ones out, she's next. I like her and I think she's pretty and probably has the best personality out the bunch, but her face isn't strong enough.

Bianca - I won't give up. I think based on her lack of modeling skills her time has to be up. Four weeks in a row they said she doesn't even know how to be a model! I think she got lucky this week. She sucks. Not just her attitude. I don't like her as a model.

Girlfriends Ep.3 (10/15)

Girlfriends
Episode 3: Oct. 15

Lynn agrees to do a free performance at an "Environmental Consciousness" rally. She then receives a phone call from her manager that she's been booked for the House of Blues on the same night. She becomes faced with a moral dilemma and asks herself (and her buddies), "If I don't keep my word, what kind of person am I?" How about a broke person? Maya, Joan, and myself all agreed that advancing her career at the HOB was more important and there was no need for discussion. She's the one that said she went her whole life with "no direction, no real career, no real money, and when you get a call like this, HELLLLOOO, you take it." I think she pretty much summed it up. However, I didn't think she was going to go through with it. I was surprised that she chose the HOB. I'm so glad she's getting serious about her career.

Maya views a video blog on Jabari's myspace page of him dancing around rapping about "why the b**ches love dem some playa" (clearly a freestyle). The video was hilarious but of course this wasn't the point. Maya has a heart to heart about how she's not raising a son to disrespect women and how he shouldn't even want a girl who'll respond to that." His response, "you mean like auntie Joan and Lynn."

So we all knew where this was going. No more Girlfriends using the "B" word as a term of endearment. So they're going to stop saying it so the kids will stop saying it, and the $10 B**ch" jar is born. Say the word, you lose ten bucks. Did you get that ladies??? OK CW, I can see your little message in there, but guess what...it kinda loses it's potency when two days later America's Next Top Model comes on the same channel with up to ten different women calling each other b**ches the entire show! Including Tyra and all her crew. Sometimes it's used as "I hate these b's...and sometimes it's just what they call each other. "Come on b**ches....Tyra mail!"

I don't feel the need to call my friends b**ches to let them know I love them. I have plenty of other names I call them and they get the picture. But that's just me.

ANTM Ep.4 (10/10)

ANTM - cwtv
Episode 4: October 10th

See ya Victoria!
I thought Victoria would be one of those models that got on my last nerve but would somehow make it through six or seven eliminations. Well I was wrong about that, but I was right about one thing...besides the fact that this is one of the ugliest pictures I've ever seen on the show, it was her lack of social & communication skills and charm that kept her from making it much further in the competition. Can you say smart ass?

Makeover Time!
The notorious makeover. Every emotion from fear to ecstasy has been displayed when makeover time comes around. This season was a little different though. Everyone may not have loved their hair, but no one quit and left the show or cried like a baby while sitting in the chair. Well....maybe one. Depends on how you look at it. Bianca's hair was so damaged they ended up shaving it down like a boy. Seeing as how that wasn't their first intention I can see how she would be upset. They gave her a Beyonce' wig to wear and it doesn't look too bad on her. But let this be a lesson learned...stay away from all those chemicals. That purple/pink/red (whatever color that was) dye in her hair wasn't getting it. See 'Makeover Awards" Link for makeover breakdown.

Photo Shoot - I'm a Flower (or something that grows)
Dressed as various flowers and plants, the ladies got to spend some time outdoors with the green life.

The Challenge - All About the Makeup
Covergirl.com has a new feature called the Covergirl Makeup Mirror which allows you to "upload your photo and try on beauty looks at home." The models had five minutes to make themselves up using a "dramatic eye paired with a glossy nude lip." They then had to put on an outfit and shoes (with their name on it) and get on the runway in time for the show. Sarah won - woo hoo I like Sarah! Her look will be uploaded onto the website and she gets to shoot a video on how to use the tool. Janet could have won but she couldn't find the right dress in time.

The Panel -
Tyra, Twiggy, Nigel, Lionel Deluy, & Ms. J
Who Was Great?

Ambreal (rose) - No one else could've done those roses any justice. "A rose with an attitude." Mr. J said her face lacks the grace and elegance that she so effortlessly expresses through her body. I'm not too sure about her. I don't see her in the top 5 but I see her getting really close.

Jenah (moss) - OK...it should be known by now that Jenah is not my favorite and despite my consistent effort to prove that she's a member of the Texas Chainsaw family, her last couple of photos have been Off Da Hook! Best picture tonigh! Tyra said she took risks and chances and Deluy (photographer) said that when she gets signed he wants to work with her.

Lisa (bamboo) - She had some issues being versatile during her shoot but she pulled it off. The panel loved her face even though Tyra said it wasn't her strongest photo shoot and she needs to take more chances. I liked her photo but is it just me or is her hairline back kinda far? Anyway...the panel thinks she's playing it too safe. I kinda agree.

Janet (hydrangea) - The panel said she's the most improved but Tyra said she didn't like her film because it looked too posed. I'm rooting for Janet but she looked a little thugged out at judging. The panel agreed that she sometimes comes off as "men's magazine." I want to see her in the top 3.

Heather (weeds) - Wow! Weeds? That's the best they could come up with? With all that green make-up on she said she felt like a witch while everyone else got to be a princess. I almost wish they would stop doing this to her but she worked it even though she looked like she was dressed for Halloween. Bride of Frankenstein? Once again...the panel loved it.

Sarah (Ivy) - When I think ivy, I think 'poison ivy' which makes me think something sinful and sexy...but that's just me. Sarah didn't quite work the sexy angle. The panel said she was elegant and "part of the plant" but actually complained that she's losing weight. She's supposed to be the plus-size model! They said it's working against her.

Ebony (bird of paradise) - Finally! A great photo shoot which really impressed the judges. Tyra said she was blown away by her film and her photo was beautiful. She looked like Toucan Sam's ghetto cousin but she was cool. It's unanimously agreed that she simply lacks charm and is not likable in person. I still think it's confidence she lacks...maybe a little lack of personality too though.

Not So Great
Saleisha (tulip) - Damn girl! Almost didn't make it. And right after you said you were never going to the bottom two! Cocky? I think it was her confidence speaking. When I set my mind to something I wouldn't dare say "I might not go to the bottom two." This girl stood in total shock as the panel ripped her photo apart. Ms. J said she looked like a wilted tulip in need of water. Mr. J and Tyra said that her new 'do gives her a high-fashion look but she totally lost the connection in the eyes.

Bianca (sunflower) - This flower was perfect for her big bald head. Mr. J said she was "so amazing on set today." He noted that sometimes it takes a complete emotional breakdown to build yourself up. I must say she definitely looked more confident than last week. And I love the way she told the panel that with her bald head and her Beyonce' wig, she now has two looks to work with. Tyra said she has regal beauty now but everyone seemed to agree that the photo was wack and she looked uncomfortable.

Victoria (cactus) - She cut Twiggy off during a critique AGAIN! Strike 3! She also joked that she wanted to put on sneakers and a t-shirt and go to the library. Well that's probably where she is right now. Mr. J said she over thought the entire photo shoot. I think she just always wants to prove how smart she is. Don't you get it Victoria? Your intelligence has no place in the modeling industry! It doesn't mean squat! I'm not saying models are dumb...I'm just saying nobody cares. So take your picture and shut the hell up!

Chantal (baby's breath) - Based on this picture alone she probably would've gone home. She claimed she got conflicting direction from Mr. J and the photographer but Tyra said that's just the way it is sometimes. She looked like she was about to cry during the entire shoot. She tried so hard to look confident as she approached the panel...but she knew better. Tyra told her she's not leading the pack anymore. Ouch! I'm not a Chantal fan in any way whatsoever, however, I don't think she's going home just yet. Not unless she lets that bad photo shoot totally defeat her and screw her up in the future.

Who got called first?
Jenah - 2 weeks in a row!

Covergirl of the Week?
Heather!

Bottom 2?
Saleisha and Victoria. Are you serious? How can you even stand Saleisha next to Victoria? Yes I'm a huge Saleisha fan but that has absolutely nothing to do with this. Victoria sucked. Maybe Saleisha just needed to be brought down a notch or two on the confidence ladder. I still don't think she's cocky.

Who's going home next week?
My bottom 2 predictions:
Bianca - I'm sticking with Bianca. Why the hell is she still on the show? Nigel and Twiggy said she looked amateur, stiff, and uncomfortable. She's proven time and time again that she DOES NOT know how to model regardless of what she looks like.
Honestly, I think Tyra just gave her another chance to embrace her "new regal beauty." Tyra said she doesn't quite understand it yet and needs to own it. I think Tyra is the only one batting for her. She's going home next week.

Ebony - Her couple of weeks is up. Her time is coming. I can't believe she grew on me as much as she has. Maybe I just feel sorry for her. She looks like she's depressed. She's got some things to work on.

ANTM Makeover Awards

MAKEOVER TIME

Most Dramatic Change

Bianca -
I would say ball headed is pretty dramatic to say the least. But at least she's got the Beyonce' wig. I give her kudos for hanging in there.

Jenah -
Not really feeling this look on her. In no way does she look like a natural blonde.

Don't Look Too Much Different

Victoria - Looks the same.

Heather - Ummmm??? I guess she looked fine the way she was.

Chantal - Better...but not much changed here.

Much Better

Ebony - Her wig/weave was glued to her forehead. I can't believe she even came to the show with that puppy on her head.

Sarah - Work it girl! This cut helped get rid of her 'girl next door' look.

Saleisha - She said she looks like a Beatle. I didn't like it at first but it's supposedly a high fashion cut. It grew on me...she can learn to work it.

Ummmm...Not So Sure

Ambreal - I liked her fro. They cut it shorter to show her "regal" beauty.

Lisa - Not feeling her new 'do. But I wasn't really feeling her old 'do.

Not Impressed

Janet - What did I like most about Janet...her RED hair!!! They dyed it Black. Now she looks like baby Liza Minelli.

Girlfriends Ep.2 (10/8)

Girlfriends
Episode 2: Oct. 8

Aaron receives notification that his National Guard Unit is being called to Iraq. While Joan has at least a hundred reasons to be upset that her fiance' is being called off to war, none of them appear to have anything to do with his safety or well-being. She's more concerned with being "married and happy" and having her man taken from her.

The crew throws a party for Aaron, and his buddies William and Darnell bid him farewell with thoughtful gifts...a helmet liner, a bulletproof vest, and a story of a good friend who died in Iraq. Ummm...let's leave the parting gifts to the womenfolk from now on.

On the trip to drop Aaron off at the base, Joan detours to Mexico to "hang out" until the war is over. Aaron was sleep and though it was made to look like an impulse decision by Joan, I'm fairly certain she drugged him. She rolls up into Mexico looking for a 'safe house' that Lynn directed her to. She then informs Aaron that his new name is Juan. Hers is Maria. Juan suggests that they get married in Mexico but Maria backs out deciding that this just isn't the way. The have some sort of emotional embrace but the channel went out long enough for me to miss what was said but I did catch her apologizing for being selfish. The next scene cut to Joan crying alone in the kitchen.

In the meantime, Mya finds a bag of weed (the gateway drug) hidden in Jabari's old dresser. During the investigation to determine how Jabari got on "the dope" she finds out that Darnell bought the sack back when they were separated and he was depressed. They decide that Jabari will never know the truth and treat him to Magic Mountain to make amends for false accusations.

Lynn announces to William and Monica that she signed with one of the best music managers in the business. She convinces them to throw her a party because Joan is too busy but no one shows up. She never mentions who the manager actually is and doesn't say much else about her music career and newfound happiness. Hmmmmm.

At the end of the show Lynn, Monica, and Mya visit Joan to keep her company. Through all her sorrow Joan still managed to find time to bake "Lynn's favorite vegan cupcakes" to celebrate her big news. Now, I'm not exactly sure what a vegan cupcake is...but I'm sure it's a vegetarian's dream.

ANTM Ep.3 (10/3)

ANTM - cwtv
Episode 3: October 3rd

See ya Kimberly!
I can't say that I'm saddened or the least bit shocked by Kimberly's boot from the show. During her photo shoot she said that while some girls can be fierce and mysterious, she just wants to be normal and a good role model to the girls who have a normal life. Well I'm sure JC Penney's has a nice spot in their catalog for her. She was in the wrong competition.

Photo Shoot - High Fashion Rock Climbing
Suspended by ropes the women took photos on a rock climbing wall wearing high fashion gowns for a contrasting and amazing fashion image.

The Challenge - Straitjacket Runway Walk
The women arrived at the "Fashion Madhouse" and were greeted by Ms. J chasing some dude in a straitjacket with a shoe. Today Ms. J would give the ladies individual runway lessons in straitjackets and heels to prepare them for fashion shows that require them to wear restrictive clothing. In the couture fashion show challenge, wearing gowns by Colleen Quinn, the girls were judged on their walk, their ability to move in a restrictive garment, and being able to bring out the spirit of the clothing. Saleisha won her second challenge in a row. Her prize, a runway show debuting Quinn's collection in Paris.

The Panel -
Tyra, Twiggy, Nigel, Roy Campbell, & Little Orphan Ms. J
Who Was Great?

Ambreal - She looked like a real pro during the photo shoot and it came across in her photo. The panel said it was elegant and she made it all about her. It was one of the best but Twiggy isn't 100% sold on her. She's still skimming by under the radar.

Victoria - Twiggy said she has a special quality about her and she's very unusual. If by unusual she meant she looked like a bug trying to climb up a rock, she was right. At the photo shoot Mr. J asked what she was thinking while taking the photo. She said "I felt like I was a sea nymph on acid, scaling a wall in the sunshine." Say what?! Poetic or insane...you tell me? There's a thin line you know. She seriously lacks social skills. No matter how far she makes it, that's what will get her in the end.

Jenah - As a former rock climbing instructor the photo shoot was very natural for her. I liked her pose a lot but I'm still not feeling her face. She had a Tinkerbell thing going on and it definitely worked. They said it was beautiful, gorgeous, stunning, and maybe the best.

Lisa - Tyra said her body was great but her face was too self conscious in a lot of her shots. Her photo was one of the best but sometimes she looks kinda dorky at judging. I take that back...she is kinda dorky. Or maybe just goofy. It doesn't matter...I locked her in as my fave and my pick for the winner on the first episode.

Janet - Tyra said she was too self-conscious and basically got a lucky shot because every so often a good frame would surface. But lucky doesn't equal skill. Roy and Nigel said that if they saw her in a mall that they wouldn't look twice but she photographs beautifully. Well maybe I'm crazy because I feel just the opposite. I haven't liked any of her photos since the first episode but I think she's beautiful in person and she has a great runway walk. But today she didn't look so great at judging so maybe Roy and Nigel are right.

Heather - They felt like Heather definitely brought something out and though boring in person she continues to deliver great pictures. I think that pretty much sums it up. She looked like Wonder Woman in her photo but she has a very natural talent. However...I really don't think it matters. When she makes it to the top five (and she will), she's gonna go on those go-sees and her lack of communication skills is going to kill her.

Saleisha - Best shot of the group tonight...no question about that. But Tyra said she has a certain commonality like the "pretty girl next door" and she'll have to force her way to high fashion. I don't disagree, but I do think that Tyra looks a bit on the average side herself. When I was in high school I remember my grandmother seeing Tyra on TV and saying "if she can be a model, so can you." Ummmmm.....thanks? So if Tyra can make it, don't count Saleisha out because she has a chance too.

Ebony - Ebony finally admitted that she doesn't have a damn clue. She approached the panel like she was already defeated and was told that she needs to walk in with confidence even if its faked. Roy said she doesn't have the tough skin it takes in the industry. She needs to work on those insecurity issues. I give her two more weeks.

Chantal - I have no idea what to say about her photo. She looked like...I don't know what she looked like. But the panel has spoken and said it was a great high fashion headshot.

Not So Great
Bianca - "You look mad that you had to climb that damn wall," were the words of Ms. J. Bianca had the nerve to say that she was told to focus on one emotion and she chose the one that would come easiest...anger. What kinda damn sense does that make? She's just an angry, insecure, little girl with low self-esteem. That's why she's always putting people down. I actually feel kind of bad for her. She's intimidated by the other models - mainly by Saleisha it seems - and it shows. Nigel said she looked uncomfortable. I think he meant constipated.

Kimberly - Mr. J said she thinks modeling is a two-dimensional art and wants to look like a typical model. Twiggy said she looked like she hit the wall (lol). She really lacked creativity and the ability to just let go. Tyra said she always looks hoochie. I didn't like her and she was next on my list to go anyway (I thought Bianca was going first). Oh well...she won't be missed.

Sarah - Tyra said the camera loves her face and she did great but Nigel said she's awkward in person. I like Sarah but I still think she's just a pretty girl. She has a cool personality but she's floating under the radar. Once they get the really bad ones out, she's next.

Who got called first?
Jenah

Covergirl of the Week?
Heather!

Bottom 2?
Kimberly & Bianca. Those two could've both left for all I care. They were my next two picks to get the boot. I couldn't figure out who sucks the most between them. It's still a toss up if you ask me. Kimberly sucks but Bianca's attitude sucks. And she hates Saliesha's guts! Jealousy.

Who's going home next week?
My bottom 2 predictions:
Bianca - Last week I thought she was going home tonight. She probably would have if Tyra hadn't saved her seeing as how she was the only judge who liked her photo. I think this is the end of the road for her. Her attitude is working against her. She's been told to soften her face at least three times and she continues to come off as angry. I do believe that she was confident at first and it wasn't a front. But
the competition is quickly wearing her down and you could almost see her crumble in just this one episode alone. Her self esteem diminished each time someone else (especially Saleisha) got a compliment. And when she didn't win the challenge she was hurt and deflated. It also didn't help that her arch enemy won. Her insecurity makes her come off petty, mean, angry, and immature with a big mouth. After an argument with Saleisha she said she can "get grimy, start cuttin up clothes, and break these b**ches down one by one." (Great goal setting skills B). But it'll be real hard to do that from her house. Because that's her next stop. No matter what she says or does, all I see is insecurity and fear.

Ebony - The only thing holding her back right now is her lack of confidence. So unless she can overcome it by next week, she's going home. But somehow this girl really grew on me and I don't want to see her leave. I just want her to have a chance to see whatever Tyra saw in her because I didn't really see it at first. OK, I still don't see it. But I think it's there. She just has to find it.

Makeovers next week. We all know what that means. At least one of them is going to cry when she gets a haircut or complain the whole time. Who will it be?
